February’s birth flower. The Iris’s mythology dates back to Ancient Greece, when the goddess Iris acted as the link between heaven and earth, using rainbows as her bridge to move among the realms. Among other meanings, the Iris can also be associated with Beauty, Vitality, Healing, Awareness, Protection and Creativity. In the language of flowers, the Iris means Faith, Hope and Wisdom, with the purple Iris being symbolic of Wisdom and Compliments.
