Acid Rain (2015)

Part of my Abstract Lily Series.

I called this Acid Rain with the intention of giving it a double meaning; firstly, to highlight the fact that due to atmospheric pollution, rainfall has become more ‘acid’ thereby causing environmental harm. Secondly, the vibrant colours used are my interpretation of what the effects of taking ‘acid’ (LSD) on the body may produce artistically, i.e. it will distort one’s vision, with objects taking on bizarre forms and colours appearing to be more intense than they really are.
